Delete your HalalNook account
Applies to the HalalNook web app and the HalalNook iPhone and Android apps. Last updated October 27, 2026.
Delete it yourself (fastest)
- Open the app or halalnook.com/app and sign in.
- Go to Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password (or type DELETE if you sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft).
Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out on that device.
Can't sign in?
Email hello@halalnook.com (or hassan.azhar@brisknest.us) from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm it's you, and we delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address, password and home city, and every linked Apple, Google or Microsoft sign-in.
- Saved places, lists and polls you made, prayer and iqamah reminders, fasting records, and places you manage as an owner.
- Community posts, comments, events, RSVPs, votes, blocks and private messages you sent.
- Family plan links and invites. Active PayPal subscriptions are cancelled so you are not charged again.
- Any Matrimonial profile, its photos and review documents.
What is kept, and for how long
- Reviews and places you added or confirmed stay so other people can still use them, shown as "Deleted user" and no longer linked to you.
- Votes in shared polls stay as anonymous votes.
- Payment records (date, plan, amount, PayPal reference) are kept for our tax and accounting records. We never receive or store card numbers; PayPal handles them.
- Usage statistics and search logs are not linked to your account; raw events are deleted after 90 days.
- Server and security logs kept by our web host roll over on their normal schedule.
- Matrimonial duplicate fingerprints of profiles removed for breaking our Terms are kept for 1 year, as described in the Privacy Policy.
